Pine Ridge Estates

Pine Ridge, or Pine Ridge Estates, as it is sometimes called, is nestled in the Central Ridge area of Citrus County, sitting on 4,800 acres of rolling hills.

Some view Pine Ridge as merely an equestrian community since it is the only Citrus County development with a full-service equestrian complex.

It is true that the lots are oversized, ranging from one-acre to 5.5 acres. It is true that there are 28 miles of horseback riding trails. And, of course, the equestrian complex offers a 17-horse stall stable, four arenas, tack rooms, hay storage, and more.

But, you don’t have to love horses to love living in this community.

Residents enjoy a scenic and quiet environment linked to nature while enjoying easy access to a long list of non-equestrian amenities.

Highland Hills Golf and Country Club, located in Pine Ridge, maintains and operates two distinctly different golf courses.

Highland Hills is a 72-par course known for its tight fairways and doglegs, demanding accuracy from the tee. To see an aerial tour of this course, please click this link.

The other course found in Pine Ridge, the Executive Course, is a par-3 course designed to test a golfer’s short game.

The Golf and Country Club offers on-site PGA staff available for individual lessons, a driving range, a bar and grill which is open daily, and putting and chipping areas.

In addition to equestrian and golf facilities, residents also have access to a large community center which serves as the meeting place for Property Owners Association meetings, various clubs, and individuals who choose to relax and read a book or surf the internet. The Community Center may be booked by Pine Ridge residents for group events and celebrations and is equipped with a stage and a commercial kitchen.

Located at the rear of the equestrian complex, the community center area also has a playground and tennis courts.

Pine Ridge may be best known as an equestrian community, but when one considers the full list of community amenities available to its residents, it becomes clear why more and more people are calling Pine Ridge home.
