Black Diamond Ranch

Black Diamond is a private, gated community located in the Central Ridge region of Citrus County. The community’s cornerstone is its golf courses, especially the Quarry Course.

The Tom Fazio-designed Quarry course is consistently selected as a top-ten Florida golf course by several golf enthusiast groups and well-established golf surveys. Laid out around an abandoned quarry, the 13th through 17th holes provide not only picturesque views but something rare in Florida, changes in elevation. Much of the course is draped by beautiful blooming trees, such as magnolias, dogwoods, and crepe myrtles. Weddings sometimes take place overlooking the beauty of the course. Well-known professional golfer, Corey Pavin, has described the 15th hole as the most beautiful hole in Florida, as described in an article found in top100golfcourses.com.

In addition, the community offers two additional golf courses, the Ranch Course, and the 9-hole Highlands. All courses are enjoyable for golfers of all skill. The pro shop is filled with golf professionals of a high caliber and the clubhouse offers a prestigious dining home and a well-stocked and well-serviced bar.

The community is of a small size, where its residents are often seen walking or riding bicycles along well-manicured landscapes. It is not age-restricted allowing for retirees and working families to interact for community-based gatherings and interactions.

Once a year, the community sponsors an Invitational Car Show with proceeds going to local charities. The Black Diamond Foundation is well-known for its philanthropy with groups such as the YMCA, a modern, state-of-the-art facility offering hundreds of programs for over 10,000 members, located only minutes away.

Some of those who visit note they feel a sense of tranquility and peace. Others note a “sense of arrival.” 24-hour front gate security gives its residents peace-of-mind. And it’s convenient central location in Citrus County makes Black Diamond close to everything Citrus County has to offer.
